La Sportiva and Scarpa
Why choose an original resoling?
An original resoling from La Sportiva or Scarpa is the most reliable way to preserve the original performance of your climbing shoes. Your shoes are resoled using the exact same rubber as on a new pair, applied with the correct thickness and placement specific to each model.
When choosing this option, there is no need to select a different rubber. The original sole is applied automatically, exactly as intended by the manufacturer. This ensures that grip, support, and underfoot feel remain true to the shoe’s original design.
For certain La Sportiva and Scarpa models, we offer original resoling only, guaranteeing that the unique characteristics of your climbing shoes are fully maintained.
Vibram XS Edge
Firm, shape-stable rubber for maximum edging support, precision, and durability.
Vibram XS Edge is a firmer climbing rubber developed to deliver maximum support, durability, and precision on small edges. Its stiffness creates a stable platform underfoot, making it highly reliable on tiny footholds.
Best for: technical routes, vertical walls, and multi-pitch climbing where edging precision and stability are essential.
Vibram XS Grip
All-round rubber with a strong balance of grip, support, and durability.
Vibram XS Grip is a versatile performance rubber offering a balanced combination of grip, support, and durability. It provides reliable friction while remaining firm enough for controlled edging.
Best for: climbers looking for a dependable all-round rubber that performs well across a wide range of climbing styles and conditions.
Vibram XS Grip 2
High-friction rubber for maximum grip and sensitivity, ideal for steep climbing and bouldering.
Vibram XS Grip 2 is a softer, high-performance rubber with enhanced friction and elasticity. It delivers increased grip while maintaining consistent performance across varying temperatures.
Best for: steep routes, bouldering, and situations where maximum grip and sensitivity are required.
OCÚN Cat 1.5
High-friction rubber with strong grip and flexibility for technical footwork and bouldering.
Ocún CAT 1.5 is a performance-oriented climbing rubber with increased flexibility and friction. Its softer feel supports dynamic movement and effective smearing. Ocún equips the more aggressive shoes in its lineup with this rubber.
Best for: bouldering, indoor climbing, and steeper routes where grip and sensitivity are key.
Mad Rock Science Friction
All-round rubber combining grip and durability for consistent performance across many surfaces.
Science Friction is a modern climbing rubber developed to provide high friction combined with good durability. It offers a reliable balance between grip, elasticity, and wear resistance, resulting in consistent performance across a wide range of surfaces.
Best for: climbers who want dependable grip for smearing and sufficient support for edging, both indoors and outdoors.
Mad Rock Xtreme Friction
A high-friction performance compound that delivers maximum stickiness and sensitivity, especially on modern holds and volumes.
Mad Rock’s Xtreme Friction is engineered to maximise friction on climbing surfaces. XF is softer and more flexible, allowing it to conform to the surface and provide extra grip and control, ideal for modern, dynamic climbing and bouldering.
Best for: climbers who want maximum friction for smearing and for techniques like toe hooks and heel hooks.
Boreal Zenith Quattro
Durable all-round climbing rubber with a strong balance of grip and support.
Boreal Zenith Quattro is a relatively firm, wear-resistant rubber that provides solid support on small edges. It combines dependable grip with a longer service life and feels less soft and sensitive than Zenith Pro 2.0 and Zenith Ultra 2.0.
Best for: all-round climbing, long routes, multipitches, training and climbers who value durability and support. A good choice for intensive use and more comfortable climbing shoes; less suitable when maximum sensitivity or grip on volumes is the highest priority.
Boreal Zenith Pro 2.0
Technical all-round rubber with plenty of grip, precision and support.
Boreal Zenith Pro 2.0 is Boreal’s premium all-round performance rubber. It provides plenty of grip and enough firmness for precise small edges and technical foot placements, while retaining good feedback from the surface.
Best for: technical sport climbing, bouldering and all-round use, both indoors and outdoors. It sits between the more durable Zenith Quattro and the softer Zenith Ultra 2.0.
Boreal Zenith Ultra 2.0
Boreal’s softest and grippiest rubber for maximum sensitivity and friction.
Boreal Zenith Ultra 2.0 conforms easily to the surface and gives very direct contact with the wall. It offers excellent grip for smearing, volumes and technical movements where sensitivity matters.
Best for: bouldering, competitions, steep routes, volumes, toe hooks and technical climbing where maximum grip and feel are needed. Its softer compound may wear faster with intensive use.
RAToM GP1 Hard
High-friction rubber with added firmness for more support and longer wear.
GP1-Hard shares the same high-friction character as GP1-Soft, with slightly more firmness for added support and durability. It performs strongly while smearing and offers noticeably more stability and precision on edges and small footholds.
Best for: indoor climbing, competition-style routes, and no-tex holds where grip and control are essential.
RAToM GP2 Hard
Firmest and most durable GP compound (≈65A) for edging, control, and outdoor use.
GP2-Hard is designed for all-round performance and is the firmest rubber in the GP series. It provides strong support and stability on small edges and vertical terrain, while still maintaining a slightly softer feel compared to many other Italian climbing rubbers.
Best for: technical climbing, steeper routes, and outdoor use where edging precision and durability are important.
RAToM GP1 Soft
Ultra-soft high-friction rubber for maximum smearing and sensitivity, best indoors and in cooler temps.
GP1-Soft is the softest rubber in the RAToM line. It deforms very easily and adapts to even the smallest surface textures. This results in exceptional smearing performance and maximum friction, especially on slabs, volumes, and polished footholds.
Best for: climbers who prioritise sensitivity and a very responsive, “glove-like” feel underfoot.
Note: due to its softness, GP1-Soft wears faster on rough outdoor rock or in warm conditions.
RAToM GP Zero
Ultimate high-friction rubber for maximum grip and feel on technical foot placements.
GP ZERO is the most friction-focused rubber in the RAToM line, developed for maximum grip and the most direct contact possible with the surface. Its high friction and soft character make it feel extremely sticky and sensitive on precision work.
Best for: projects where every foot placement counts, such as bouldering and sport climbing with friction-heavy sequences, volumes, and technical footwork.
Davos Stick Zero
Balanced compound for all-round use on slabs and vertical walls, indoors and outdoors.
Davos Stick Zero is a balanced rubber compound offering a solid mix of grip and support. It provides reliable friction on slabs and vertical walls, with enough precision for controlled foot placements.
Best for: all-round indoor and outdoor climbing.
Davos Stick Evolution
Softer high-friction rubber with strong feedback, great for overhangs and smooth footholds.
Davos Stick Evolution is a softer, high-friction rubber designed for increased sensitivity and grip. It performs particularly well on technical terrain, steeper sections, and worn or smooth footholds.
Best for: climbers seeking maximum friction and feedback on overhanging routes, volumes, and technical sequences.
